Sewing fabric onto cardstock
This is my little sewing machine, it was about $20 from a bargain store, it sews amazingly well for a lightweight machine. If you are thinking of getting one for your craft work do it......they are great.
I just made this card, I wanted to try sewing on card, I sewed the ribbon on, the rest is glue and brads. It is a valentines card lol, some thing different to the traditional red colours, I hope you like it, the colours have not come out to well, it is actually on a creme yellow card. The leaves are some mulberry ones I have had for years, I have thousands of them lol, so I had better find a use for them.
The hearts are punched out of brown cardstock, and the flower stem is actually from a paper bark tree we cut down a couple of years ago, or you may know it as tea tree, I kept bags of the bark, it is so soft just like paper, I love working with it.
It has been raining here in Wagga for two days now, I love the rain, and it has finally cooled down abit as well, I hate the heat lol.....Ok I am off to make some more cards.
Bye for now.....Debra.

I will be 50 years young
I have started the countdown, I actually can not wait. 50 is such a great age to be. You are young enough to still enjoy life and have some fun now the kids have grown up, You get to enjoy the grandchildren then hand them back lol, You have been around enough years to not let people get under your skin, you actually know a thing or two about stuff, and you are old enough to get away with other things as well. So to all those who are dredding this phase, DONT, relax sit back and enjoy.......:) Look at all the celebs who are turning 50, they look great, it is not hard to still look great at 50.

Greetings from Australia.
I have been making a wedding range of cards, (will post pics when batteries recharge) I have a special order for some invitations, so I thought I would do a small range of cards, I hope you like them. They are so much fun to make, I love playing around with the silver paper and carboards etc. The embossing templates are by far the best thing I have bought so far this year. If anybody is interested, my rates are cheep, just enough to cover my costs and postage is all I need. You can email me on argweldb@bigpond.net.au I will reply ASAP I am on line 24/7 and check my emails regularly. I am quite used to dealing with overseas customers, and can post to any where in the world.
It has cooled somewhat tonight from about 110 deg in the shade to about 90 lol, but even that is a godsend when so hot. (that is in farenhieght too lol)
I met my sons (he is 26) new girlfriend tonight for the first time, he has only been seeing her for a couple of weeks, she seems very nice, and has a 9 year old daughter who is very smart as well, she knows all about the stars (the ones up in the sky lol) I was very intersted in that when I was younger as well. The only constellation I can remember apart from the southern cross is Taurus, as that is my birth sign lol.
I really hope things work out for him, as he has had it pretty rough for a few years.
Ok I am going back to my card making as I have this order to fill, please email me if you want anything made, I really like working with the customer to come up with a design that suits the personality of the couple, and can add beads, gemstones, ribbon, lace, and any sort of paper that we can get our hands on, the aim being to create some thing very different to what you see every day.
Untill later keep safe........Goodnight from Debra.

My fiskars embossing set up.
I thought you might like to see what I have made. It is a large board that I drilled with holes to hold my embossing templates. It holds two large templates and three smaller ones, I only have two small ones at the moment, and 6 large ones.
The scrapboss is next to it on the work table, this makes it really easy to swap and change from one to the other when working on a project.
You may be able to see some of my work at the back, it is very hard to photograph embossed cards. I have been very busy embossing anything that is not nailed down lol. I just love it. It adds a really professional touch to anything.

Some polymer clay things I made
When I get some more time I will put up a tutorial on making these gorgeous strawberries.
I have found a new craft
Plus I hope to be able to put up some tutorials for you all. I have so many great ideas. So I really want to share them.
That is all for tonight as is it so hot here, I really can not think straight. I want winter to come back again, at least I can curl up in front of the fire, it is harder to stay cool.
Cheers Deb.
